So it's 2:45 and I get back just in time for the Voices of Liberty's next set.
Above: I believe the solo Catherine's singing here was
in the first song of the set, America the Beautiful.
Below: Ray steps out for the solo on Oh Susanah.
above and below: obviously the song here is Oh! Susanahit's too bad that the third shot didn't fire that would have been "the tug".
Above: these kids came out for the introduction to the Old Mc Donald number.
Below: the video below is only the "finale" verse of Old Mc Donald.
After God Bless America ended it was time to bid aideu to the Voices of Liberty for this trip, and so I headed Northeast to get to Norway (nice how that's geographically correct, since it dosen't always work that way at Epcot). When I got to the Norse pavilion it was clear that this was the place for Spelmans Glidgje, it even looked like they had thier own stage...but on the other hand the stage appeared to be blocked by stroller parking...
...as it got closer to the time for thier set I asked the fellow at the outdoor cart (beer cart I think) if he knew where Spelmans Glidje would come out, he pointed out a couple of places that they might but as some were on one side of the stve church and some were on the other I was pretty much left to continue wandering back and forth. I'd never been on the dining patio in Narway before, of course I'd noticed the section of the pavilion that had the grass growing on the roof but I don't recall going under the roof there before, so while I waited I looked at some of the details here....
...like this troll on the beams over the dining area...
...and this bird box, which I believe is actually a speker box, since it seemed to be where the sounds of a bird in distress emanated from at regular intervals, probably in an effort to scare birds off from the dining patio. At this point I heard something or just decided it was time to head back over to the other side so I cut through the stave church and when I opened the door on the other side, there they were...
Now since I don't REALLY know any of the names of the songs in this set I kind of had to improvise with this list (and I had a little fun with it), but if you know any of the REAL names of these songs please email me martsolf@mindspring.com
above: yes this young lady was the singer on the one and
only song with words that I recorded, she was also the one that managed to
sneeze in time to the music in that other song
(as I pointed out in the podcast).
Below: this of course is from the final number where the kids played along,
good fun, and as I mentioned in the episode by the end of the song the kids
who were performing here seemed to actually be getting the hang of it.
