Walt Disney World
A History in Postcards
A Picture is worth a thousand words, but your words would be appreciated too
Do you go to Walt Disney World? Do you ever take pictures there?
Would you possibly willing to share some of your pictures with my readers.
Look through your pictures, see if you think you have anything interesting.
Odds are if you think it is interesting some of us other Disney fans will think so too.
Just as an example here are a few things I would like to see.
- The Original Frontierland RR station
- Tomorowland before it's mid 90's upgrade
- Since interior shots that are not very dark are especially hard to come
by almost any interior shot, especially of anything that has changed substantially, would be great.
One example would be any of the restaurants on the Empress Lilly.
- Live entertainment groups would be another neat category, not only in the parks but
anywhere around the resort where they may have played.
these are just a few ideas your picture might give me other ideas!
There are a lot of you out there I am sure who have interesting stories about WDW and if you have some
you would like to share with my readers I'd love to hear them. Also, I would love to hear from anyone who was
involved in the creation of these postcards be it a Photographer, Publisher (I know at least some of the early cards
were printed by Dexter Press),
or even someone who just worked for a printer or at the WDW
merchandise receiving where big boxes of postcards must have came in.
Also there are postcards I know I don't have scans of:
