The reason I had headed into Frontierland after getting the photos I wanted in Liberty Square was to catch the Notorious Banjo Brothers and Bob, like most of the audio I recorded this day I lost it due to technical errors, I SAY "Technical Errors" but looking back I THINK what happened was more like a sort of stupidity induced by sleep deprivation, I had worked a full day the night before and then only slept a few hours in the car so blame the fuzzy thinking on that. On previous occasions I had lost some audio once or twice from a battery going dead while recording I THOUGHT I was avoiding that this time by hitting the track mark button every once in a while, I assumed that once I was in a new track the old track was saved, so I don't think I ever turned off my MD recorder from the time I recorded the Banjo brothers as I kept going from one recording subject directly to the next So when the recording did come to a sudden unexpected stop (not sure if it was a dead battery or dropped as i've messed up that way before too) the audio from the whole of the inside the park recording as lost. After I lost Almost all of this days audio I changed my practice to hitting stop every once in a while and I don't think I lost any audio to technical difficulties of this type Saturday or Sunday. Even the video I took of the two groups on this page suffered a similar fate as making videos with my camera KILLS the batteries QUICKLY, but I finally figured out how to get around that later in the trip! I wasn't exactly sure where the Notorious Banjo Brothers and Bob would come out, so I kept looking in the area by the shooting gallery, and then back over by the Horseshoe, I didn't actually catch them coming out, and by the time I saw them they were already conversing with a few guests.
After the Nororious Banjo Brothers set completed I headed to Main Street in order to catch the Dapper Dans, once again just as with Jim and the Notorious BBB I lost this audio, and only got a few seconds of video, but at least it demonstrates the Degan organ chimes.
As I mentioned before I was a bit tired and perhaps a little slow in the thinking process this day, and it occured to me as the Dapper Dans were going off-stage that the other side of the street (where they headed as they went off stage) would be a much better place to take a picture of them, as they were almost gone when I thought of it I thought it was quite nice of them to stop and form up in a line just for me to take a picture of them.
